The Labour Day Weekend is also the weekend of the Toronto Airshow, and so on Sunday we headed across the water on the water-taxi to the Toronto Islands, with a few of our friends, for a ringside view of the proceedings from the beach near Hanlan’s Point. The weather was gorgeous – hot, clear, blue skies, windless – people were bobbing about in the water, there was a line of yachts and other vessels strung out along the horizon, and the shoreline from Mississauga into the city formed a perfect backdrop for the fly-pasts and aerobatics.
